Helping Hands (HH) empowers underprivileged youth, persons with disabilities and women through education, life skills, health and community-driven development programs.
Founded under the constitution of December 2025, Helping Hands is a membership-driven, non-profit community-based organization. Our activities are coordinated from our office at Baraka Plaza, 1st Floor, Kagama Sub-location, North Maragoli Location.

Provide technical assistance, advice, material and financial support to youth of specified ages whose lives have been threatened.
Offer development training to leaders from local areas and empower them in project administration and management.
Actively participate in government development plans and empower youth, women and community members to take part in development programs.
Receive donations, subscriptions, legacies and gifts of all kinds β applied fully toward the objectives of Helping Hands.

Membership is open to individuals who meet the requirements set out in our constitution.

Our constitution defines clear leadership, democratic elections and transparent decision-making.
Chairs meetings, summarizes resolutions, draws agendas with the Secretary, and oversees effective service by the Secretary and Treasurer.
Assistant principal chair who performs prescribed tasks whenever the Chairperson is absent.
Takes minutes, handles correspondence, maintains records, keeps the members' register, and avails records for inspection by auditors and officials.
Keeps proper books of account, manages external audit statements, and holds no more than KES 5,000 in the office; bank withdrawals only after approvals.
Secret ballot, one member one vote, no proxy voting. Results announced by the returning officer. Supervised by a Ministry official or a reputable peer CBO.
Officers serve three-year terms and may be re-elected for one additional term only β keeping leadership fresh and accountable.
Committee meetings held every quarter, attended by the Director. A quorum is two-thirds of committee members.
Convened for urgent matters, with members notified in writing at least two weeks in advance.
Held once a year at the head office or an agreed venue, with all beneficiaries gathering. Quorum is at least 50% of total membership.
Funds are raised by the Director from donations, grants, government agencies and other acceptable means β and managed under strict controls.
Maintained always, for accountability and auditing.
